Youtube premium is totally worth it, highly recommend.

For a prize of a chipotle bowl...NO MORE ADS. Why the fock didn't I sign up sooner?

I'm signed up to like 5 streaming services but realized I barely use them and at the office and at home always end up watching videos on youtube.

Watching on tv the ads are 100% more annoying because you can't put the remote down. Kept getting the same unskippable ad on every video for like a month I feel and was going insane. Said fock and signed up since you get a free month. Will not cancel the trial. No ads is a game changer.

You also get to minimize the app on your phone and the video won't stop. Great for driving
Get YouTube music so you can cancel Spotify or apple music.
Download vids to watch later if offline
Youtube Originals (have no idea if anything good there since Cobra Kai on Netflix)

$12 and $7 for students. If you watch youtube even a little bit its worth it.

I got a Master's in software engineering, I know those options options bros.

But 90% of my watching is on TV and tried content filtering thru my router and DNS. It's an infinite list since they change the URL source all the time. Was also ****ing with my xbox and online multi and I value my free time more than $7 a month.

And being able to minimize the app on phone to check gps or answer a text is great.

You get the music app and I'm sure most are paying at least one of the services.

Yall are jewmaxxing lulz, seven dollars bruhs. Tradies spent more drinking Monster

i refuse to subscribe. the only subscription i pay for is SiriusXM Satellite Radio. i need BPM - Channel 51.

i don't like to leak money and piss away money on subscriptions if not necessary.

i listen to Spotify Free in the gym and just use Mutify to mute the ads.

i refuse to give those Woke Liberal Corporations any more money or eyeballs than i have to.

How much is xm now days?

I always had it for Stern until he became a ****g0t, havent in years. They still send me desperate paper letters with big discount lulz. When I had it I would cancel on purpose and in the following weeks would be flooded with offers to come back for for like $80 off. Remember getting like 6 months for 15.99 or something like that.

Try it, call and tell em you just cant afford it and they might even give you a discount on the spot. since you frugalmaxxing

I'll stick with vanced, Thx tho.

They specifically make their chit annoying to entice you to spend your 7$.

"It's only 7$".

Vanced was only "0$", provides all the same features + additional ones like automatically skipping intros/outros and sponsored content within the video.

i negotiated $100/year for SiriusXM after all taxes fees etc. i only listen to one station - Channel 51 - BPM. i need it for the car. i can't stand terrestrial/traditional radio. too many douchebag talkative DJs and commercials.

Vanced also comes with a second app called "YT music" that can be minimized, phone screen switched off and it still plays, you can create playlists, find new music, etc. It's pretty much a carbon copy of spotify but even better as the library is youtube.

FYI - for those on Android and using Spotify Free - this free App Mutify is pretty good. it mutes or lowers volume for all Spotify Ads. i set it to automatically lower the volume for Ads to 20% -

There are some other nice features included in a membership besides no ads. They seem trivial, but I’m happy with my $12 a month membership. I watch it way more than prime or Netflix. And I don’t have cable tv.
There is no they…

google play music was the first to offer that subscription fee for like the whole library of the world

remember how we used to have to pay for individual songs? i had android and there were like apk's you can download and then download youtube songs but it still was like a dedicated playlist in an app and idk.. just found it annoying

so i signed up for google play music when it first came out. have been using it since. google and youtube then merged and i got youtube premium for free with the price of google music

so im grandfathered in at a cheaper price

Truth. Cant believe how many people dont have youtube premium. I stream ALL my music off youtube and its my go to for online videos, for almost 10 years now. I only see ads when some pleb wants to show me a video on their phone and they don't have a subscription.

I have YT premium myself. Perfect for work or the gym when I want to listen to videos/streams with the phone screen off.... unsure if these so called 'adblockers' pull that off.

To have the audio still going with the app minimized or screen off is HUGE for me

This method involves using the free Mozilla Firefox browser app. What all you need to do is download and install the Mozilla Firefox browser on your phone. Now type m.youtube.com to open the website within the browser. Now tap the settings (three dots) button present at the top right of the page and tick request desktop site.
