London in the 60s footage

Can't sleep, bored browsing YouTube and came across this.

Have to say it doesn't look bad at all. Brb:

- lack of obese people
- homogeneous demographic
- people making an effort to look stylish
- people not all hunched over looking at smartphones but actually interacting with each other
- cool looking shops instead of nothing but chain stores and fast food places
- lack of public degeneracy.

Libs would probably hate the idea of living in this era because of the lack of diversity, women with blue hair and septal piercings, etc, lol.

80s was the GOAT but this doesn't look bad. It's also cool that people documented this stuff and this kind of footage is pretty rare, whereas there will be millions of hours of footage from our current time (probably most of it fukking Tik Tok videos).

And yeah, before US brahs post it, I understand your opinion that the UK is a terrible place and nothing good has ever come out of it.

I used to live in a high tourism area and I was practically the guide. We got a ton of people from England, Germany, Spain and Denmark. People from England were usually snobby. 10/10 girls but would just be snobby abd im better than Americans type crap. The German people were actually the most friendly. Like German girls are super fine and dress normal abd stuff. I hung out with a couple for the weekend and it was cool. They are the marrying type.

I don't know brah. There's a lot of hate for the UK on here. I'd agree that it's a chithole now but most places are to be fair. I've always found it weird (the hate) as I think of Americans like our cousins or something - Brits definitely have more in common with Americans than we do with Europeans.

I'm assuming this is sarcasm? Would possibly have fought for England back when it was actually England. Would run to the hills now, not much worth fighting for.

10/10 British girls? lol do you live on the east coast?

A high class Aryan German woman is the best woman a man could have.
But they are one of the hardest to wife in Europe. But worth it if you can land one. I'm not talking about a half Polish, or Turkish. I'm talking a blonde Aryan pure German woman.

Brits are known for going overseas and disrespecting the people. Ask people from Spain, Sweden, Italy. The only place they don't fuk around is Germany.

Danes are slutty as hell. They are socially awkward but once they drink, they go insane, much like the other Scandis.

The Brit attitude towards Americans is strange, a mixture of worship and contempt. We grew up watching your films and listening to your music with awe and many of us, as kids, would dream about one day going to America (back then it wasn't common for the average pleb Brit to travel there). At the same time we'd joke about American bragadaccio and propensity for being too loud.

This is very much true but it's always the really low class Brits, the type for whom going to Magaluf is a dream vacation. Believe me most British people hate those types even more than those from the countries you name.

Every European looks down on America, but secretly is so curious about it. They think the U.S LOVE denying its people healthcare. Yeah the U.S spends billions on military, soldiers in Germany, Norway, etc, in case Deutschland wants to go for round 3. They are not there for America's protection.

Either way, I think Europeans don't like the fact that American culture is just forced upon them. I will say the Brits and Germans are generally the best at keeping their own culture. Go to Sweden, they talk like an average Detroiter - "Aight bet" "that good good" "WAP" "periodt"

Don't get me wrong, Britain in my opinion is the most important nation in history. However, you guys love to be like "oh those stupid yanks come here and **** around." Well you guys do it too overseas. I've seen Brits go to Australia, and act like they own the damn place (they kind of do), but the difference is the Aussies fear/love you guys a lot more than the Americans do. We can only take so much "Americans are dumb/fat" "America should do this/that"

I totally get it. I personally don't feel at all like that though about Americans and haven't met many who do - at least outside of the peasantcel class. I think the first time I talked to some American was in uni and I remember being sort of thrilled to be talking to one in real life, almost exotic in a cool way, lol.

Brits are massively obnoxious abroad and I understand why those countries hate us (lately I'm finding the Spanish to be almost as bad). You just have to bear in mind that it's a certain type of English person that acts that way - uneducated and prone to massive binge drinking.

It's news to me about Australia. I feel like they're culturally more distant from us (in spite of the history) and love to mock the 'whingeing Poms'.

That's good to hear that
I think it frustrates some Americans because we want to be liked by the Brits so much but that love is never returned lol.

True I get that. And don't get me wrong - Americans are the worst overseas LOL. I saw this American dude demanding a Peruvian girl to speak English..in Peru LOL

I love the Brit-Aussie banter. I remember when the Brits sang "We all shagged Matilda" lol

Haha, yeah good to have a civilised conversation about this Bro instead of the usual slander (I can never tell if it's genuine or just blokeish humour).

Most Brits will have favourite bands, films and authors all from America. I think we do love the US but perhaps we have a chip on our shoulder that the British Empire is over and now you guys rule the world, I don't know.

I don't think we feel the same way about Australia. With limited exceptions there aren't a huge amount of good Australian bands (were I to think of an Australian band all that would come to mind are INXS or Midnight Oil, lol) and most UKcels would be hard pressed to name any Australian authors. Cinema is a bit different - the Aussies have made some decent flicks. But yeah, the banter is funny - always a bit weird when you get two cultures who are so historically close yet regard each other with suspicion, lol.

For sure man, Brits always bring the good banter

Yeah I get that too. The U.S is copy of British culture, especailly in the beginning. Then it kind of expanded and blended other cultures and became cool. So I can see why it would irritate you guys.

I know a lot of Americans that love British bands and comedies. Girls LOVE the accent. British men do very wel here.

Do you guys feeling closer to the US than Australia? I've always felt Aussies were like Britain' younger brother. And we are like Britain's cousin that always fight lol. Australian flicks are nice, and they got some nice athletes too.

I've always felt like Brits were my cousins or something. Most Americans can trace their heritage back to Germany or Britain. We obviously speak the same language but pronounce words very differently lol. I truly believe Americans and Brits love each other deep down, we just need to talk more haha

Are Brit’s who cheer for the queen the biggest cucks ever?

They are cheering for someone who presided over…
Death of the empire
Replacing native Brit’s in their homeland
Sold into debt slavery
Plant the trees in whose shade your grandchildren will play

Haha, definitely agree with that last sentence man. I genuinely don't know whether the insults from Americans towards Brits on here are tongue in cheek or not. There are massive differrences for sure. The whole gun debate is one such matter. Generally the Misc is very pro-gun. It's not that Brits are anti-gun as such, the whole situation is just unfathomable to us.

I definitely feel closer to Americans than Australians. I have met/worked with a tonne of Australians in London and they always seemed very cliquey to me.They always seemed to prefer the companies of other Aussies and the Aussie guys came across to me as superficial and a bit one dimenstional - always into sports, only comfortable with light banter, not real conversation, etc. I'm sure they're not really like that but the whole Aussie machismo thing has some truth to it.

I'm glad you said that about the British accent. I've read so many comments on here from Americans saying that the British accent sounds retarded, lol. To be fair some regional Brit accents sound stupid to me as well but the 'neutral' Brit accent sounds fine, as does the standard American accent. Genuinely don't understand the hate. Ultimately we're very close allies (meaning Britain does what America tells it to do, lol).

Can't stand the Royal Family. Blood sucking, degen parasites. Cannot understand for one second any Brits that would cheer for the queen.

The American view on guns is quite is like this. Imagine the East Ends in London, Peckham etc. Now imagine that that level of crime is in every city, from Durham all the way down to London, Kent etc. Now multiply that by 7. The U.S population is like 360 mill. They want protection. A lot of Americans do actually feel like "fuk everyone else." It is ignorant I know but when you're so used to the whole world catering to you, ppl get comfortable. I'll say this, I've seen Brits in the U.S, or aussies in the U.S, live here for a while and their accents change a bit. Americans almost never change their accent. They could live in Scotland for 20 years and still sound American lol.

Australians are pretty superficial but also obsessed with sports lol. They don't care for privacy, tjhey just want up to a group of ppl at a park and say can I join?

British men are the most desired around the world. Only fools will deny that. Americans are cool, but British men are #1 everywhere, Japan, Sweden, Russia, doesn't matter. I've traveled a alot, and Americans are associated with money and flash, but when a Brit walks into the room, there is a level of class that no one can deny - the association with royalty, the manners, the gentle but intelligent dialogue. As opposed to the loud americans. Don't get me wrong, we get the most attention due to our loud we are, but the girls always go home with the Brits.

Idk about you guys doing what we tell you, biden is a fool. His gonna send our economy back to the 1960s, and he keeps poking countries with weapons. This isn't Vietnam lol.

I'll say this, I've seen Brits in the U.S, or aussies in the U.S, live here for a while and their accents change a bit. Americans almost never change their accent. I can see both sides of the gun debate to be honest but if I were an American citizen I'd get a gun or two for sure.

We had an utter buffoon for a leader (Boris Johnson) and yeah, I think Biden is kind of the laughing stock of the world. Sky News Australia go very hard on him which is funny because Sky News in England isn't conservative. I don't know how much he is personally to blame for things - he seems so out of it that it's hard to believe he's actually making any material decisions right now. It's incredibly that he's the leader of hte free world.
