Do people realize just how much of their state land is landlocked by land owners?

In Montana alone, 1.8 million acres of public land is inaccessible because of private land owners.

In Wyoming it's even worse. Nearly one third of the entire state.

And if that isn't bad enough, your state leases our land to ranchers for cattle to destroy.

Check out this short film OnX did called Project Landlocked to get an idea of just how much public land is out there we can never touch

What's the big deal? If you work hard enough you can also buy landlocked land.

I'm not talking private land. They can do what they want. I'm talking state, national forest and BLM land. Your land you pay to protect that are basically private unless you have a helicopter

Blame Bill Gates and Chinese spies coming to the US buying up tens of thousands of land.

OP, the nuance of this issue is too much for non western hunting miscers. They will spiral it into the right to own private land followed by land owners vs peasents and eventually it will be 3 pages of "lmao rent is due".

The big issue is the corner crossing fiasco. I kinda like that alot of land is hard to get to due to private property borders, because the reward is there for those willing to walk further. However if its sealed off completly like in a corner crossing situation or completly land locked...then F that.

Corner crossing has been a very interesting topic and I'm glad to see states like WY siding with public land hunters. I agree that there is some entitlement coming from public land hunters that would rub land owners wrong, but land owners treat landlocked public land like it's their own and gaurd it as such.

I can't wait for the day we have one man drones to drop us into these landlocked areas. Then we will truly see if landowners really only care about their property or is it about having other people access "their" state land

Landowners go to great lengths to block public land. I've seen it on multiple occasions where they'll buy a 10' strip of state land from border to border to prevent access

(gulp) 4 years of her if that would get us a perpetual easement? If I dislike the republican badly enough I would probably think hard.

I feel your pain. I've hunted in Wyoming, Utah, Idaho, and Colorado and run into it in every state.

Chinese are smart about buying property, they will use USA based companies they acquired to purchase land and in Canada they send their kids to school and then funnel cash through the kids to buy property there
