Domino's Pizza LOL

They hired too many dumbfk MBA type "consultants"...

Domino’s Pizza says arrivederci, flees Italy after failing to win over local customers

Just seven years after making its debut in Milan, Domino’s Pizza is saying arrivederci to Italy.

The fast food giant closed the last of its 29 stores on the Italian Peninsula after struggling to gain a foothold in the country, Bloomberg reports, with locals proving to be difficult to win over for the American chain.

Italians don't like cheese-stuffed cheese bread with cheese sauce.

But it's not really Domino's fault. I'm sure with the recent demographic shift Popeye's would fare better in Italy.

Opening a dominos in Italy is probably the stupidest thing I've heard in a country with good & cheap pizza.

I imagine they actually had some kind of board meeting where this idea was presented, and it was discussed and approved. Think about that.

I mean, Dominos is a worldwide chain. There are enough tourists and ex-pats living there where it was worth a try. American chains tend to do really well in Europe, and although pizza is huge there, most of the local stuff doesn't taste like the greasy American variety.

A Dominos pizza probably costed more than a more traditional mom and pops Italian pizzeria.
