10 minutes for 10 pull-ups? that's crazy long. it takes me about 1 minute to do 12 consecutive.

i do 3x12 pull-ups daily after my dumbbell press, flyes, curls workout. i can probably do 20+ consecutive pull-ups. progressive overload, grease the groove. a lot of it is mental. the longer your train for them, the easier they get. i do the workout below in about an hour. pull-ups are my favorite exercise. keep going. good luck.

Workout
Daily - 7 Days/Week
1. Flat Bench Dumbbell Press - 75s - 3x12
2. Standing Alternating Dumbbell Curls - 30s - 3x12
3. Flat Bench Dumbbell Flyes - 75s - 3x12
4. Pull-Ups - 3x12
5. Captain's Chair Leg Raises - 3x12
6. Stairmill – Level 7/20 – 10 Minutes

Progressive Overload – Keep Increasing Dumbbell Weight!

Diet
5am – 3-5 Black Coffees
12pm - Gym – 3-4 Semi-Frozen Bottled Waters
1pm - 1 RX Bar - Chocolate Sea Salt
4pm - Dinner - OMAD – 1-1.5 Pound (Raw) Steak, 1-1.5 Pound (Raw) Sweet Potato, 10 oz. Green Giant Simply Steam Plain Select Frozen Broccoli Florets, Himalayan Pink Salt, Fresh Cracked Black Pepper, Heinz Sugar Free Ketchup, 3-5 Seltzer Waters

Avoid - Refined/Processed Sugar, HFCS, Flour/Grains, Dairy, Soy, Oil, Legumes – Read Labels!
Calories Formula – 13X Target Body Weight – Daily Maximum
Protein Formula - .82 Grams per Pound of Target Body Weight – Daily Minimum

The belt weighs like 1 pound... and you can put it in a small bag and then put it on the ground when you're not using it

Can do 20+ bodyweight pull-ups but I see no use in doing so many and usually add weight with a belt till I can do 12,10 or 8 reps

the funny part is i own and use that exact same Nike bag in black. i've owned multiple of them - i buy that bag over and over again as they wear out after about a year of daily use.

but rather than show me a picture of the f**king bag which i don't need - show me a pic/link of the belt. my gym is a Planet Fitness. limited plates available!

No one has any business doing weighted pull ups until they can do 4 sets of 10 bodyweight

I did this program a few years back. If you follow it precisely it is crazy how many you can get to. I got to like 43, but then hurt my shoulder doing something else which set me back and then I gave up. If you can do 30 strict form pullups you can pretty much bet anyone money that you can do more strict pullups than they can. The average person in the street will trip out when you keep going strong after 10, then 20, etc.

Well rested and burning myself out I can do 16

But my next set would be like struggling at 5

Normally do atleast 3 sets of 10+

Or 5 sets of 8-5

I don’t like resting for longer than a minute between sets, also play around with speed and going for a slow 2 count on negative etc.. which effects reps. The reps aren’t really important to me until they are mentally tough to take. Then I just try to crank out what I can.

I can do 5x5 pullups with like a minute rest in between

One of those workouts where you need to be decently at a low bf% to do them consistently.

My current PR is 18. I can do multiple sets in the 12-16 range, but that elusive 20 keeps hiding from me. I recently started adding weight.

Also, this is from dead hang to chin above bar. If I shorten the ROM for a better pump/bodybuilding style I think I could hit the 20 mark.
August 2023:
BW: 194
B: 315 x 3, 225 x 14 (PR: 335)
S: 315 x 2, 225 x 18 (PR's)
DL: 405 x 1 (PR); Trap Bar DL: 405 x 1
OHP: 185 x 3 (PR), 135 x 16
Chins: 22(PR) Pushups: 83 (PR: 101)

They are hard but if you keep doing them a little at a time your strength will improve in about just a couple of months.

I do 10x5

I do 3 sets of pullups, 1 set of chin ups, and 1 set neutral grip.

I figure that it's good to hit the muscles in different ways like that.

depending on how heavy you are they can hit your delts in weird ways and you could injure yourself.

I noticed that if I look up I have better form and this does not happen.

I'll knock out 3-4 sets of 12ish. I could do more per set but I don't train with much intensity anymore, no more grinders or one last reps
