What is the best iPad to buy for around $200-300 to get the most bang for your buck?

If I were to buy even one of the slightly older generations, what's the best iPad I can get for that price range? I have a 5th gen and the game I play on it sometimes runs slow lol.

Just use it for the occasional games/apps, and more rarely watching Netflix or something.
