Zoomers and social media have DESTROYED gym culture...

Only a decade ago, going to the gym actually seemed to mean something. Most people worked hard, and those who didn't want to put in the effort usually burned out in a month or less. Most regulars at the gym were down to business - not much talking, lifting hard, and had an appearance of being focused. The gym was also a quieter place, some chatting obviously but the main noise would be the sounds of weights and machines and grunting.

Now, its all gone. You still find some people who put in the work and from my experience most of the 30+ yr olds in the gym are actually trying, but the next generation will make sure to destroy whatever hard work and respect that gym culture once had. Obviously there are exceptions, but for the most part almost all of the zoomer age people I see at the gym are just ridiculous.

- Wearing stringer and flexing in the mirror, but 150 lbs 20% bf
- If they arn't wearing stringer, they are wearing gymshark everything. Sloots dress like they run a corner downtown
- Loud, obnoxious, extremely foul-mouthed (I don't have the best language but some of them drop fbombs as much as I say "the")
- Don't put back weights, go on phone for 12 minutes between half-rep sets
- Will frequently try to cut in front of you if you are clearly waiting to use a machine that someone else is using (has happend to me multiple times)
- Have social hour in the squat rack, with 7 bros each doing one set every 5 minutes
- Many gyms have caved to their cringe taste of music and blast all day every day
- Every DYEL bro and 5/10 sloot thinks they are instagram models
- Don't even get me started on the high school crowd.......

I can barely take it.

Yea seriously. I stopped going to my gym partially because of that. Haven't been back to a gym. Completely ruined everything.

Gym has always been a group of people that look the same year after year until someone hops on sauce & gets freakier by the day.

Either no changes or rapid juice changes

That's the thing though you can't get a bench because it's too crowded

That's why I canceled like 18 months ago

Also literally barely anyone was lifting in there so it was just awkward lol

Part of the reason why I’ve been training at home since November. Also in the best shape I’ve been in years; been able to just focus on my training with no distractions.

Find a better gym. I really do hate the mother ****ers that take 30 minutes on a bench though. Lift and leave.
For God so repped the world, that he negged his only begotten Son, that whosoever reppeth in him should not be negged, but have everlasting reps.

Gym's should implement a "no cell phones allowed on the floor" rule

What drives me nuts is I'm seeing more and more people do circuits. Meaning they're "occupying" like 3 benches/machines at once. Madness

You're such an aspie.
As for OP, try a different gym. None of what you listed is as my gym. It's just dudes clangin n bangin and chicks doing cardio and glute bridges. Good times
