I dont know. I used to have a friend but haven't seen or spoken to him since 4th of july 2017. My other irl friend died. So I haven't talked to anybody or hung out with anybody for a while now. A few years ago I met a guy that was cool at work and he suggested meeting up for fishing since we both live about a mile from the same fishing pier. Then both times I hit him up he just ignored me so I didn't bother asking again, I didn't wanna come across as weird and keep asking over and over. But I mean why would you suggest we go fishing and stuff if you dont actually wanna go? I have 2 kayaks and he said it would be cool to take the kayaks fishing too and its not like I would be talking a bunch while being outside far away from each other on kayaks, you would think maybe he would at least go to use me for using one of my kayaks or my cast net but nah. Idk

My true friends are from 20+ years ago. I meet new people at the adventure club but it’s mostly superficial conversation like what other adventures have they been on or Netflix or Apple TV+.
I even tried to bring up Maverick Top Gun and they don’t want to see it in the theater. Everyone wants to sit at home in my area. Now obviously Maverick has made a ton of money so people are going out to the theaters for that elsewhere. When I watched the movie there were only 3 of us in the theatre lol.

For me, I have 4-5 pretty close friends I've known for 10+ years, and another dozen or so in more "expanded" social circles from those people. I've hung out with a few coworkers, but almost all of my coworkers are older or weird or I don't know at all. Made friends with some of my gf's friends. I sometimes hang out with my sister and her husband, if that counts.
Not sure what else there is, it's just the people you interact with on a daily basis. You can't really just walk into starbucks and ask people if they want to be your new friends lol
