People who talk and talk non-stop
Anyone else find this annoying? Srs at work there's this boomer customer who approaches us and will talk a load of chit I have zero interest in.
I pretty much pretend to agree with whatever he's saying by going 'yeah yeah yeah okay' whilst nodding and fake smiling/laughing. Can't even go on my phone when he's around.
Another bloke I work with who doesn't shut up, rang me a few hours ago asking about a job interview he had, he then constantly kept changing the subject for 10 mins and rambled on a bunch of bullchit. Literally told him 3 times 'alright I've gotta go now' yet still carried on. Eventually hung up on him as I got sick of it.
The thing is I have pretty decent social skills IRL so know when to talk and when to shut up, yet these people seem like they have zero social awareness.
Don't get me wrong they're nice guys and I can tolerate them at times but fuk me it gets irritating.

Most extroverts do lack self awareness lol. They just talk because it gives them energy or wanna hear themselves talk
For me extroverts are exhausting to be around

If you're clearly showing that you're not interested and they keep talking, it's something they need to be made aware of. I recently had to spend a weekend with someone like this, and I eventually had to tell him to fuk off(nobody else was willing to do it).

The only time I tell people to piss off is if they're being rude or trying to mug me off, then I'll be assertive and call them out.
I've always treated people how they treat me. Just how I am tbh.

Oddly enough I rarely have to deal with chatterboxes. However I have to deal with a ton of people who really want you to talk to them despite them not making an honest effort to have a conversation with me. It's weird, but whatever

There has to be a balance, being outgoing is good but not to the point you can't shut up.

It’s pretty feminine
What I like to do irl after someone has blabbered on for a bit is to say absolutely nothing afterwards or to simply reply “ok”
You can do this if someone writes you a long message via email or text as well

Extroverts gonna extrovert. Don’t know how they do it… I can’t converse with randoms unless I either have deep respect for them or want to bang them lol.

The only time it bothers me is when they go into excruciating detail on something I don't care about or they jump from subject to subject and then back again.

Yeah we got one dude who comes in after me who won't stfu from the moment he steps foot in the office.
Dude always holds me back 10 minutes as I am trying to leave.
No amount of "Thats crazy" or tight smiles or passive glances at the door will shut the guy up.
0 Self Awareness.

Weekly staff meetings that should take 15-20 minutes end up going 45 minutes because of one person. Annoying as fuk.

I have a few relatives like that, they can talk forever if given a chance. My father's side of the family is full of talkers. Some are annoying and others fun to be around. For me I guess it depends upon the conversation and humor in the talk. The more upbeat and joking, the more enjoyable. One relative from New York on the other hand, never stops talking and can be a bit depressing to listen to. In some respects it can be a bit humorous to see my parents when he visits and stay with them for a week or longer. The folks can handle a few days around him, but after that they go out of their mind, looking for anyway to get him to leave.

Maybe I need to toughen up my stance. Idk. Once I see that he locks himself in a conversation with another person, I gtfo.
