Egg Whites Are The Chit - Reps

I always figured that egg whites would come out with a weird texture and taste. WRONG.

Nutrition

Vs.

My typical scrambled eggs recipe is 405 Calories, 5g carbs, 22.5g fat, 38.5g protein.

Swapping out those eggs and now it's 165 Calories, 3.5g carbs, 2.5g fat, 27.3g protein. Tastes about the same, although it's less filling, sort of leaving "entree" turf and leaning more into "snack" territory. Not to mention the zero cholesterol.

Price

Here's the part that's most shocking to me. They say 3Tbsp egg whites = 1 large egg, so each egg whites carton is really worth 20-22 eggs. If you buy Walmart great value egg whites cartons it's $4.14, which is $0.207 an egg. If you buy Walmart great value large eggs in bulk (18x2) it's $9.25, which is $0.257 an egg. So for those who say "buy normal eggs and separate the whites yourself", brb you're still paying more and it's more work in general.

For those who love eggs, want the protein, and are on a cut, this is the way boyos. Reps till I'm out.

They lack the calories and fats that you need. But sure, if you're cutting egg whites are good to go.

I buy a bunch of cartons of egg whites at Aldi. If we're talking strictly about taste and texture, they sure as fuk aren't as good as whole eggs - but they get the job done.

Whole eggs taste better, but there's a lot of low-cal and high-protein ways to work with egg whites that make them pretty GOAT for cutting snacks. I never could have them as an entire meal though

Ii just drink whole eggs. Maybe half a dozen a day, srs. My cholesterol still went down from my last blood work panel. Regardless of method or whole vs whites, eggs are great

Yeah IDK. I think the picture I posted in OP is a little outdated. My carton shows different numbers for both sodium (75mg) and carbs (0g).
