That's actually huge compared to what people are getting in places like Hong Kong. Literally living in closets. Some places basically renting bunks.

I have the opposite problem

I rent a huge room, nice big bathroom, nice big open closet, and a huge balcony, but have to share the kitchen with 2 other sloots

Could get own apartment but it is crazy cheap and I barely see the other sloots

In the really poor areas they actually have cages. Six to a small room and you basically lock your stuff up along with yourself to sleep at night. Like a dog kennel.

Living in the city is a scam. I’d rather buy a house with some land an hour outside the city center.
