I do not live in Boston directly but like 30 mins out but I feel very safe walking at night at places like castle island (walking paths on the water). (I carry of course but never any issues)

People from Boston and MA have been some of the most insufferable Karens from my experience. I mean it is a different level of Karen behavior than you see even from NYers. Very in your business, fake, confrontational for no reason, and shockingly nosy. I've occasionally met a cool guy from Boston that gives off Bill Burr vibes but as a whole, really depressing group of people. MA drivers also suck a lot.
