Gender reveal disappointment (srs)

Me and my girl pregnant, super excited. Her family and mine just got done with a lil gender reveal where we found out it's a girl.

I'm excited that it's a healthy baby.... But can't lie that when I saw the pink I was pretty disappointed, for numerous reasons. Don't know the first thing about lil girls, have always wanted a lil mini me to talk sports with, girls, teach football, etc. Already picked out a boy name.

With a girl I gotta worry about so much more in the world... Anyone else ever have some gender disappointment?

I remember when is had my first boy and my buddy had his first girl.

I remember talking about how excited I was to plan out all the cool stuff you were talking about. And I realized it might be very rude since my boyo was having a girl.

But he was just ecstatic about his little girl and said it’s the best thing in the world.

My third was finally a girl, I was still hoping for another boy.

And I love my little sweet pea in ways my boys will never receive my love. She’s my little angel, she’s funny and has attitude and I love spending time with her. Get off the misc for a bit until you can be more secure in raising a fun young woman without the misc memes playing in your head.

The disappointment you're experiencing as a father-to-be is a mere fraction of the disappointment she'll grow to feel from having you as a parent.

Bro just put that energy towards her. Sometimes thing you don't expect turn out for the best. Yes you have a lot to worry about. She's going to be the best daddy's girl and if you raise her right you won't have to worry about her being the next rendition of daughters.jpg.

I don't think it's about being insecure, think it's understanding dudes so easily.. that and I had issues with my own dad growing up so I thought I can have the father/son bond that we never had. def happy, but first lesson in "never expecting something out of your kid"

Congratulations.

Girls will make you a better man. Raise her right and she wont be like you see on the internet. be honest with her and explain what guys are really like so she knows how to act.

They are way easier than boys. More into following rules and the like where boys like to break them.

Probably 95% of guys feel the same way, shouldn't feel bad for feeling it, but obviously no one can vocalize it.
