the longer i wagecuck, the more I’m beginning to realize the true key to freedom

it’s gotta be self-employment

No boss, ur own hours, ur own schedule. A crucial piece in the key to happiness

Employers today don’t give AF about you. They’ve never cared less.

Just LOL at giving a third of ur life away for decades to these ppl and being ordered around and told what to do while u make them rich and they reward u with crumbs. They will literally compensate you with the least amount that they can get by with and not a penny more if they don’t have to…. and they rly don’t have to cuz if u don’t like it, fk you basically. They can let u go whenever and for whatever reason they feel if they want

Fk working for the man. This is not the world our parents grew up in

Hard work ain’t rewarded anymore. Neither is loyalty

Just look at the last 2 years for the perfect example. Healthcare…. Nurses. They busted their ass during the “pandemic,” hailed as heroes, then the next year were let go all over for not doing what they were told and being forced to take the vaxx…. Work ethic not even considered. Nothing else was other than “do what ur told or fk u, ur gone”

If u can figure out a way to work towards self-employment, I’d say that’s the way out

Make ur own way. Fk these employers ded srs

From Lending Tree:
18.4% of private sector businesses in the U.S. fail within the first year. After five years, 49.7% have faltered, while after 10 years, 65.5% of businesses have failed.

Business owners take all the risk they deserve the reward. Some owners are super greedy but everyone needs to structure it in a way that they could support all their employees through a downturn.

more like majority of owners are super greedy

you have ppl out here working full time who are still struggling, ppl having to pull 2 and 3 jobs even

Where back in the day of our parents, one person could work full time and have a house and car and support a family

How common u think it was back then for full time workers to be still broke and living paycheck to paycheck

You're exactly right OP

He is also exactly right OP.

What I realized is that most people have been traumatized and propagandized into a position of comfort and routine. As a small kid you are stuck in a room in a desk like prisoner from 8am to 3pm or so. From that early age you are bred for working a wagecel life. You are told those the hours you must work, and you must go 5 days a week and then you can have weekends off, and only have a few little vacations a year.

The comfort keeps you there. You can clock out and not think about work and take in your netflix, ice cream, porn, hobbies, and just keep your little routine going to prevent yourself from realizing the demise of the path you're on. It's jarring when you think deeply about it.

The problem is that those things are so deeply rooted in most people that they are stuck there forever. They won't make it as a business owner.

A business owner has all the upside and control, but also all the downside and responsibility. But I believe it is much more rewarding spiritually, financially (if successful), and mentally.

And I’m not one of those ppl advocating for that “livable wage” bullchit either cuz to me, a livable wage is subjective and also dependent on WHERE u live

Starting your own company ain't easy homeslice. Never is. Especially in this landscape right now.

But if you are willing to do it anyway, more power to you.

You will be grinding harder then any job you have working for someone else.

freedom comes from realizing work is but a very small fraction of your life and your perceptions of the world and the way you think and react and act is true freedom.

After 15 years of wageslaving good luck having any energy to do anything else. It sucks the life out of you. I'm a workaholic and have been busting my ass for 15 years and even i'm ready to retire. It just doesn't seem worth it to keep putting up with the BS.

The whole 9-5 thing is to drain you of all your energy and make you dependent on the system srs

No, financial independence is. A lot of people romanticize self-employment. You still have to answer to people - namely your customers and or shareholders/lenders. The reason the vast majority of people choose to be wagies, including myself, is that it's less risky. Yeah, you'll make a lot more if your business is successful, but when stuff breaks or goes wrong, it's your entire livelihood at stake. It's not as easy as you think, OP.

9 times out of 10 That business owner worked 10x harder than any employee on the way up. People like you just see everything on surface level and don’t understand the grind it took to get there.

Open than landscaping business and see how easy it is. You will be doing everything for the first 5 years. It is easier to work for yourself when you can see the end goal but just be realistic.

Agree. Do you ever realise how quickly your life is passing by?! The problem is that too many people become comfortably numb. You need to want your freedom bad enough, plan an exit strategy and get TF out whilst you can. Screw the rat race, employees are soon replaced and quickly forgotten about. Let the day be yours to do with it as you wish.

brah I never said it was easy

I’m not trying to make it seem like a walk in the park by no means

I’m just saying maybe formulating an exit strategy from wagecucking on the side WHILE u wagecuck until maybe u get to where u can completely abandon it would be the hope and the plan

Well you cant be a slacker and take more than you give as a business owner. As an employee that should basically be your goal. Hell Im "working" right now... getting paid to misc.

Being a business owner gives you more freedom, but it comes with extra responsibility. Your work day is never really over. But at least you'r not making some other kunt rich.
