How difficult would it be for the US military to wipe out the cartels?
I'm guessing it's a lot more complicated than it sounds since many people must have had this same idea by now. My question is would the benefits not outweigh the costs long term? Wiping out the cartels would not only reduce the number of drugs being circulated into America but also lead to Mexico becoming a safer and more stable country and consequentially mean fewer illegal immigrants coming into the US.
“Steroids is now just a word that the lazy and ignorant use to describe any guy that has more muscle and dedication than them”– Mike O'Hearn
"I am like getting the feeling of cumming in the gym; I'm getting the feeling of cumming at home; I'm getting the feeling of cumming backstage; when I pump up, when I pose out in front of 5000 people I get the same feeling, so I am cumming day and night. It's terrific, right? So you know, I am in heaven."

a few days for them to effectively operate. A few weeks if the goal was to wipe them all out.

They would never because they can come and go into our country at will. The cartels would fight back and cause massive damage. That’s why they let the cartels do whatever they want.

China being such a kunt is giving Mexico a brighter future. LOTS of manufacturing done for US companies in China is heading to Mexico in the next few years. Autos, clothing, toys, etc. That's going to benefit the US, but even more so Mexico. Goods leaving Mexico on a train will also arrive a hell of a lot faster than on a boat bigger than aircraft carriers traveling 6000 miles across sea. As decent paying jobs become more prevalent in Mexico, the cartels will lose their strength. Certainly not entirely since Mexico is the transport depot of illegal drugs entering the US, but it will change. It's a long business play instead of bullets.
Not many of the illegals coming into the US are Mexicans anymore. Tons from South of Mexico, and from around most of the world even.
