Pretty funny. But the whole first half of the story of him having trouble charging his EV is a bit outdated. This isn't 2010 anymore. It's no different than having a gas powered car. You wouldn't go home with the tank on E if you know you're too far away from a gas station. The same applies to an EV...but with an EV you have the luxury of having a charge station at home so even if you have a slow charging station you can just let it charge through the night. There is very little hindrance to charging an EV vs filling a tank, and i get it, people hate change, but thats all it is. It's just "different."

Also all the silliness about the car telling him where and how far he can go can easily be bypassed by simply "jail breaking" the car like a phone. That is how Tesla drivers get their car to drive for them with no restrictions while they're sitting in the backseat sleeping, lol.

bro nitpicking like that means you completely missed the spirit of the post. but to be clear the new green power grid cant support anywhere near the demand if everyone had an EV, so charging is regulated and wattage reduced thus the trouble charging

Nah, I get it, I've been to 4chan enough to familiarize myself with the purpose of "green text" stories. They're often tongue and cheek hyperbolic stories portraying a dystopian outlook based on some change in society (new president/EV cars/internet personality being banned from social media etc)

My post was in response to people in itt thinking all of that is happening now.
