Has lessons for kids

Is dynamic

Has appropriate story-driving call-backs to original fans.

Has a well established power scaling per character.

Yes

The show is basically a soap opera. It's really cheesy.

But you want to see the rivalry between Miyagi-Do vs Cobra Kai. You want to see the frenemy rivalry between Daniel-San and Johnny Lawrence.

You want to see badass Johnny Lawrence still stuci n the 80's brought into a Zoommer world.

Though one thing that makes the Original Karate Kids movies so special that's missing from the new show is Mr. Miyagi and the relationship he had with Daniel.

You can tell Mr. Miyagi was the one that kept him balanced. Kept Daniel calm.

Without Miyagi, Daniel is still as stubborn as he was in the OT.

Daniel has always been stubborn and a hot head. Just in a different way than Lawrence is.

It's a well written show that uses the past to move these characters forward.

This show has some depth! Heard good things, gotta give it a go finally.
