Any solar chads?

My electric bill has my home clocked in at 2,933 kWh. Electric bill is $559 for this month. Last month was higher.

My doors and windows need to be replaced to help with heating and cooling but even then we still use electricity. Did some 5 minute shopping and could possibly get a 9kW system for $17k

Looks like it might produce around 1,500kWH. Would probably cut the electric bill by 60%. Im hoping im not missing anything here but it seems like it would pay itself off in 4 years and anything past that is just cheap electricity until they need replacing.
