Is the NSLS honor society worth it?

Got an invite to join last month. I realized it expired, yet I got an email saying tonight's the last night. Making me rethink it...but I'm not sure if the $100 is worth it for me? Working towards a degree 1 day a week. Not to mention they keep telling me about these liberal celebs I do NOT like. But if it can better me I'd like to know.
