Being in the military, I know for a fact that you guys aren’t about that life. And let me tell you why.

The military is devoided of any aesthetics and everything revolves around function. When tanks are designed, they don’t hire designers to make them look “nice”. After a while, you realize that these things are nothing but hulking killing machines. But not just tanks, it’s everything in the military, down to the men. The men usually look like rapist with overly large muscles. Not something you want to be around with everyday.

In civilian life, we take even the most basic cars for granted. A regular Honda Accord will look heaps and bounds better than a tank in terms of sheer transportation. Then there’s the destruction of buildings and houses. In peacetime, houses look neat and life giving, but a war tears all of this apart and you wouldn’t want to be anywhere near this destruction. Even a basic tree is used as cover, which gets blown to bits.

War is not some to be glorified nor should it be used to get what you want.

Be happy with regular life. You don’t need much and almost everything that you do need is attainable

If any of you travel, I highly recommend you take a quick trip to Ukraine to see the damage of war. You’ll quickly realize that war ain’t nothing it’s cracked up to be. Although it’s always good to have a way to protect yourself, don’t overdo it.

OP, the good news is that most major cities in the US are descending into chaos with rampant crime, high living costs, food shortages, water shortages, poor schools etc.... And this trend is slowly creeping into the suburbs as the democrats are now pushing for more "low-income housing" projects in the suburbs.


This means that the era of comfort is coming to an end, and all the people who take for granted those comforts are about to get a brutal, pimp-slap reality check - they will reap the wages of their ungratefulness.


EDIT - Here in Los Angeles, it seems like at least 2 times per month the freeways are shut down because there's shoot out between criminals and highway patrol. And everytime I drive on the 5 or 101 freeway, I always see a police chopper with search lights shining down a high speed chase.

A major reason for the decline is the overspending on the military.

Try living in poverty in Los Angeles. This chit makes the military look pretty fuking good, OP. I think maybe I should've joined when I was 18. There are fry cooks and fuking janitors all over Compton & Long Beach who have far worse lives than most soldiers.
