'Review bombing' is a bullchit concept

Anyone has the right to dislike a show for any reason. If I think it's miscast or doesn't stay true to the source material I love, my 1 star is as legitimate as the 5 stars from all the simps. Wokeness is also as legitimate complaint as a lack of diversity which I've seen used.

Just another bullchit trick/excuse to fukk with reviews for their mediocre content.

"Review bombing" is what media producers cry about when they produce something that nobody genuinely likes.

If there is anything I have seen from the media scene lately, it's been them doubling down on anti-audience tactics.

I see them complaining about it by showing the number of 1 star reviews. That doesn't prove that its the same person making different accounts. Especially on Amazon.

I first heard it on youtube when they justified removing the like/dislike metric. Claiming all those woke pro tranny ads were being unfairly review bombed.

The people who do that are blatantly cherrypicking as well. I mean where's the outrage for all the 5 star and 10/10's that wokesters dump in mass? So it's only a problem when people are being critical, but overwhelming praise is okay? Sounds like some bullchit from people desperately trying to sell things.

Amazon should be pretty hard to review bomb seeing that you need an account to leave a review and making multiple accounts is not so simple like YT or something.

They just don't like not being able to control the narrative, soon reviews will be disabled like most news sites now don't allow comments on articles. Free thinkers are bad.

As someone who has been into gaming for a very long time, this is true. Review sites used to have a lot more validity until clown world started to double down extra hard, now they are just a joke. Most of them are owned by big corporations who have a financial incentive to push praise, and they are pretty much anti-criticism these days. Youtube videos and user reviews at places like Steam are the only way to get any real feedback.

people will rate something 1/10 just to spite the product because they don't like it. similarly some will 10/10 it for the opposite reasons instead of giving it a legit review.

kinda like amazon reviews that says 1* because "shipping wasn't free" or some nonsense

This. Bullchit 1/10 and 10/10 scores are the flaws of the rating system but the final score eventually settles on a number that gives you an idea.

1/10 is as legit as 10/10 though.
