Looking to buy a decent quality suit in NYC....what is the best place to go?
Was thinking 5th Ave for something decent or Chinatown/Koreatown ? Any tips would be appreciated. Not looking to spend over $600

great options fellas. But can you get the suit immediately? or do they have to order it for you since its custom measurements

For 600 as a limit, be careful with Suit Supply. They seem to have upped their prices, and were a lot more affordable before. They can do adjustments there in the store while you wait, so you leave with the suits.https://suitsupply.com/en-us/men/new...y&prefv1=Suitstheir cheapest seem to start at 649 now.
Having said that, if you're buying one suit to start out with, I'd suggest not going below that quality. Cheap suits make a bad first impression, depending on your field / colleagues.

At that price point id buy online. there are several places you can pick your fabric, pattern, liner ext. plus they custom make it to your exact measurements. off the rack suits are not made for guys who lift. Jackets with big chests and sholders come with BIG room for bellies. not needed if youre jacked and slim. Get you some extra room for your guns ext.

You'll get better deals online for your budget. I've picked up great deals during suitsupply outlet sales but you've got to act quick to purchase and really know their lines as each one has a different cut. Spier & Mackay is also a great option -- I've got a few of their suits and sportscoats and have no complaints.

If you’re not pressed for time you can order a custom suit from Hong Kong.
https://www.samstailor.com/
This place has been used by presidents and celebrities. They instruct you how to do your measurements (or you can go to tailer and have him do it) and pick your fabric and they will custom tailor it to your body.
I had one made here a long time ago when I was a teenager with my dad I Hong Kong. I don’t know what the prices are now, but it’s known for being top quality and much less expensive than American prices.
You’ll probably never do it, but it’s probably the best way to go.

If you don't have any suits OP, might have been worth getting a black one of these as a starter.
