Is south Carolina a good place to avoid clown world? Reps

I live in MA now and pretty much want the opposite of that. I'm a tradie so Florida is not an option.

The upstate of SC is pretty based. They shut down some stuff for covid for a month or two but that was about it. You had some jogger run areas like Columbia that went full tard with mask ordinances though. We live north of Spartanburg and all around us is new construction. About five miles down the road from my house they are starting on a new subdivision with 700 homes. That's gonna be a nightmare with the increased traffic unless they add some red lights. We had some new neighbors move from Connecticut last year. They love it here. The girls dad came to visit a few months back and ended up relocating as well. They really got tired of all the clown world crap. Luckily they are really conservative. I worry that a lot of the people moving in are fleeing dem controlled ares but will bring their phucked up politics with them.

Good governor that left all mandates up to local governments.

Schools were forced to be open starting with the 2021-22 school year and no mask mandates allowed in schools.

Low cost of living

Decent job market

Some areas with pretty bad crime

Decent weather, but hot at in the summer….basically no snow in the winter though

Relatively close to good beaches and mountain areas(as in s few hours to either one)

Not immune to ClownWorld, but after hearing about things happening in other parts of the country we are in a MUCH better situation than many

People are generally friendly in public and it’s easy to meet/speak to people

No CRT in schools








Cliffs - I thank God every day that I live here instead of somewhere like NYC or Cali.

I'm really struggling to decide where to move to as well. Florida being the front runner. Might be Europe, love it there. Definitely getting out of this sh!thole known as California soon.

I’m from nc/sc border. It’s hot af sometimes but it’s also pretty nice as well. Cheap living and good peoples. As long as you’re not snobby and assume Things about us you’ll be fine. There are some ghetto parts but you can easily spot them and stay out. Cheap simple living

Yes but only the good cities: Florence, Columbia, Myrtle Beach, Conway, Greer, Greenville. These re the only cities you'll want to move in SC
