Writing a country song, let me know what you think (dead fkn srs)

Title: If I could Send a Text to Heaven
Written by: Me (2022)
Label: TBA (once I sign record deal, I will post)

Depending on the feedback I get here, I am ready to pack up and head to Nashville to look for a record deal. Ready to risk it all boyos.

LYRICS

If I could send a text to heaavunnn, I'd talk to ma uncle Kehhvunnn. Talk about all the good years...that we had.

There's so much I wanna say, it gets harder everyday. Been a few years since I seen your facee...shed a few tears, I wish lord had cell phones...IN THAT PPLAAACE

I wish things were different, and I wasn't stuck down here by myself. But I guess that's just the way things...gotta be.

And that's the Corus and first couple verses.

I think I have something here, a good concept. Misc will probably hate as usual. Remember me when Im blowing up next year and on tour smashing your wives.

OP, in what key will the song be?

OP, what is the song's time signature?

OP, are you down with cuuuunnntry?

OP, yeah, you know me.

OPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP, the song doesn't mention anything at all about mama or trains, or trucks, or prison, or getting' drunk.

Sit down and rewrite another verse to the song and send it to the MISK.

Working on another verse as we speak. The rest is TBA. Heading downtown to buy an acoustic guitar soon. Idk how to play, but I will just strum/smash it in whatever sad country sounding tune I can manage.

A verse about my dog, Beven (RIP in Peace), would be a good idea too. Thanks.

May I help you? I'd really like to help. The best word to rhyme here with Beven is heathen. A heathen is someone far way from God. Here's the rhyme.

My poor dog Beven, passed away into another world, just as he lived, he dead a heathen.

See? Perfect.

I know I need to work in something about cold beer in as well, also something about "a boy like me/a girl like you" is another essential, but that maybe should be for the country love song I'm working on.

Also trucks, back roads, and the good old boys from high school in my small town are other things to potentially include.

Gonna make it boyos.

Beven was, Infact, a little old heathen. That's good I will rework something for later. Thanks for the guidance.

Posts three lines.

Claims the chorus and a couple of versus are done.

You use the word 'song', but I don't think you know what it means.

You can offer me a diamond-plated pearl.
You can send me all the riches in the world.
You can tempt me with the palaces of kings.
I'd give 'em back in a big ol' sack and keep The Simple Things.

I've got The Simple Things; I've got the rain in spring,
Got spicy chicken wings, and French-fried onion rings.

You can line me up a mile of limousines.
For me it don't add up to a hill o' beans.
I got no hankerin' for grabbin' your brass ring.
It's crystal clear I'll stay right here and keep The Simple Things.

I've got the summer breeze, got sixteen cans of peas.
A two-speed window fan when it's ninety-three degrees.
So forgive me for not grabbin' your brass ring.
It's crystal clear I'll stay right here and keep The Simple Things.
It's crystal clear I'll stay right here and keep The Simple Things.
