Be your best friend

Would you encourage your best friend to indulge in their addictions? To substance abuse, to be rude to others, to judge humanity harshly, to fap to pronz multiple times per day, to over eat, disregard or even cheat on their significant other, to stay narrowly in their routines and behaviors?

We all have an ideal for what a personshoulddo, things to avoid, how to spend their time. Yet we don't ourselves do those things.

View yourself as your best friend. Your body, mind, and soul are the only things you'll ever assuredly have. Improve upon them and nurture them.

I had a moment today viewing my current self, and if I were my best friend who understood looking at me, I'd feel pity. This is a hard thing to accept.

People are worth it, they are the only thing we should strive to achieve. Meaningful, deep, relationships with many friends and family. Care and tend to them deeply.

Slightly intoxicated and ashamed of it.

This can be said about anything with the intent of being remotely motivational. All I can do is express some ideas, and hope some of it somehow manifests into positivity and growth for someone else. That, and I write this for myself tbh.
