"Narcissist"

This seems like a simplistic description of any relationship conflict.

I understand a lot of unpleasant conflicts exist and do not always need to. A lot of times working together, holding power, etc. require some hard lines, and screaming "narcissist" every time a responsibility makes life hard looks like a hippie way of trying to burn out.

I think better answers exist than 'narcissist'. Antisocial, maybe. "Narcissist" seems like criticizing any form of strength.

Any thoughts?

Narcissism is the love of one's own reflection - and at a more intense state, it's the love of an idealised reflection, not just your reflection with cracks everywhere, since who can love that?

Where the reflection is not really a mirror in the traditional sense, but your image - so when somebody calls you out (or you get jealous, feel slighted, and feel like they're calling you out), you don't just get angry at them, you have a completely overblown and disproportionate reaction to the insult or 'perceived insult'.

You know how people e-stat online and lie about random things to make themselves look good? That's narcissism - since unless you're lying to gain some sort of strategic advantage and save the lives of your loved ones or something, why would you, except to cover up flaws which you hate?

Or a more real world example where a girl does stuff to seek attention from guys and people, and thinks that this means she's one of the 'cool girls' or she's 'hot' or 'the leader', and then somebody who is simply more talented walks past, she feels insulted... that's narcissism.
