Uk home owners

Op had his apartment rented out previous 3-4 months with no agreement other than it only being verbal. (Rented to a friend)

Op now wants to move back into the apartment but tenents/friends want to stay until june.

Tenents have no problems with paying rent or bills on time (generally good guys)

Am i good to give 2 months notice from today to get them to leave.

*There is nothing but a verbal contract *

OP is an idiot.

Never do verbal "contract" especially with friends/family/relatives whatever.. they will do the most "damage" relationship wise. Send them notice and see how it goes as anyway you are screwed... verbally

I've been there, done that and never ever again will help with $ or other **** to relatives/family, thats life lesson for me.

Op dosent want to force them out they pay rent on time however legally is 2 months notice enough and is that the correct way. They have not done anything wrong op just wants the flat back.

If not what route should i take ?
