Religious brahs, how do you reconcile the numerous religions?

Ie if you're Christian or Islamic, do you believe any god is valid to believe in? The countless ones that existed before those holy books in every culture, in every geographical location. Do you believe they're all one, and so the island people worshipping their guy aren't sent to hell?

If you believe your religion is the only true one, do you realize if you were brought up in a different culture you would think the same about their local religion instead? Or do you take the stance that people are supposed to have some 'pull' toward the true religion and will discover it, etc etc


Please elaborate

I'm not super religious but my theory is everyone worships the same God. They only have different interpretations of him/how they do that. Typically based on cultural norms/customs/practices.

Obviously religions with multiple gods would be outliers. But how many of those still exist?

Lets be realistic. There is either one God that has inspired people/revealed himself to people across the globe. Or there is no god at all and every tribe/culture across the globe somehow invented the same concept with slight differences/ideas.

Polytheistic religions aren't outliers over the course of history. Fewer might be followed today but that's due to the spread of a few dominant mono religions

They were crushed because religions that worshiped one God thought they were evil and literally went to war to destroy them over it.



I find it fascinating that in every single culture across the globe people had the idea that there was a God or gods that created them/the Earth. You'd think the average lay person would just assume we've always existed. And that we were not 'created' or that there was some all powerful being influencing everything.

I believe religion should be between you and God, or whatever you want to call it. Its personal and something you gotta figure out yourself
I think there is a creator or God based on what I've learned in high level math; the universe seems so formulaic and manufactured.
As far as religion, figure it out, keep it to yourself, and don't judge others for their choices
