Gen Z influencers

Youtube has been throwing me a bunch of trash Zoomer influencer videos. Like "what I spend in a week in living in NYC" "VLOG: My summer in Tel Aviv, Greece, and Italy", etc etc. Common themes:

1. Has no real job but seemingly endless financial resources
2. Loaded up on ******** or Ritalin + caffeine
3. Supreme level of unfounded narcissism
4. Generic editing/music/shooting style that looks like all other influencer videos
5. Poverty-level personality and nothing of value to say

Somehow add this all together - and zoomers love it - full of positive comments, millions of views, etc. Maybe I'm just getting old, I don't understand the appeal at all. Clearly just an attention whore living off daddy's wealth.

One of the channels that I'm talking about:https://www.youtube.com/c/TaylorBell

I generally find these chick's personalities to be unattractive, so not really good material for that imo. Also figure maybe these channels buy their subs but then I see a chitload of comments and it can't all be bots, like Zoomers legit like this trash. The generation that grew up on social media really has a skewed view of the world and attention whoring is not even considering a bad thing, it's considered essential.

They are the generation of "me" so other zoomers are going to think its positive because they want to replicate this.

In reality, they are a generation that is unbelievable dumb, illogical, and possess less street smarts than a squirrel in the middle of the highway. They are probably going to collapse the workforce due to their general incompetence in life.

Eh, let her have her moment. She will probably be kinda miserable at some point, as she will never find anybody that she loves as much as herself. The wall will be coming in about 3-4 years.

I was hanging out with a 21 year old college girl over the Summer who is about a 6/10, and she self rated herself as an 8/10. She was likely very similar to this girl. Upper middle class, will probably move to NYC/somewhere after graduation and fuk around for a few years. Will go after 8/10 guys and wonder why none of them want to commit to her.

Agree on the Wall coming in this case. Makeup and plastic surgery will hold it off longer than nature intended though.

I work m-fri in NYC and this girl has zero street smarts. NY right now is not particularly safe and she walks around like it's Disney World lol.

Parasites living off the previous generation(s) wealth. Maybe that is harsh, but as others have said, if they actually had to work the 50-70hrs a week that prev generations did to build up wealth, not getting daily/hourly validation on social media, just grinding all day for decades, these kids would off themselves imo.

Thanks brah.

They are also the generation of simps and sloots, and they take it to a level never seen before. Sloots can post videos doing essentially nothing (like these) and get THOUSANDS of thirsty betas to give her validation. She gives "just enough" attention back to keep them coming and makes more videos. The cycle repeats itself endlessly.

Every zoomer bro I see at the gym (which is a lot unfortunately) thinks they are some hard tough guy who is going to be the next big fitness influencer or something. Too bad for them, because none of them have an ounce of discipline. I haven't seen a single zoomer at my gym who could put up 225 lbs on bench and wasn't just some skinnyfat beta with broccoli hair.

She has 173,000 subscribers
.

Her first 10 videos were about Poshmark. Those were 2k views per video. The CPM for that is usually high. So makes some decent money from those videos.

But notice when she did the NYC travel vlog stuff her views hit into the 150k+ views. People on YouTube love watching lifestyle travel vlogs. YouTube algorithm pushes for this. Now she's making bank since per 1000 views is roughly around $15-$20.

Then she gets sponsorships like Squarespace.

Companies like Squarespace or Raycon or NordVPN will pay $2000+ per video sponsored.

Though notice her camera and microphone quality sucked in her first videos. So I would not say "daddy's money"

But she knows the YouTube algorithm to it's advantage.

$150,000 x $20/1000=$3000. Not sure I'd call that, "Making bank", but I guess it's not terrible for the amount of work put into it. Would pay for a trip that a person went on, as well as saving videos for the future.

The upcoming recession is going to be a big wakeup call for Zoomers. Many of them will be mid 20s and out of a job, and ad revenue for Youtube will be significantly decreased.

That's YouTube ad revenue.

Then once again sponsors.

Then she has Amazon affiliate links which Amazon gives an 8% cut. So imagine the amount of people that buys those products and services off of those links. Possible thousands buying.

It's still money to live off of in my opinion.

Then by having a youTube channel she should get an LLC turned S-Corp which gives a lot of Tax Benefits (deductions and write-offs)

You could really write a whole book on the idiocy of gen Z tbh.

Lots of them are running on (or will be on) fumes when it comes to their finances. Most of them have no interest in doing actual work. They're far more interested in social validation than improving life for themselves years down the line.

She started her channel in Aug 2020. She's only done 60 or so videos since then - ie about 2 per month. Again - not hating on this particular Youtuber, but if you know anything about growing a channel on Youtube, it doesn't magically grow from 0-200k subs in 2 years particularly NOW in the 2020s without some help from outside. Plus doing 150-300k avg on videos when you are barely putting out more than a couple vids per month. Either paying for subs/paying for views/or ad-supported from outside sources. There's a grift going on here behind the scenes. Granted, I know that Zoomers love these types of garbage travel vids but there's also an agency or production company underneath supporting this channel for sure.

Many are doing perfectly fine financially because of rich parents. They consider "influencing" to be a real job ie doing these travel videos, posting nice photos/vids to IG and Tik Tok. Maybe 1-2 hours of work per day. Yes they make some money off it, but not nearly enough to support the lifestyle they are living.

I know there's some Fiverr gigs where you can order views/subscribers.

I tried it on one channel but it only grew subscribers my views still ended up only being 3 views per video lol

Agreed. It's like the van life girl who posted one video of her living in a van and got 8 million views. I think it was some marketing agency that found a glitch in the system and tried to see if this exploit works. After that all the media channels online caught wind of this and started linking back to the video so it grew like wildfire from there. There's no fkin way you are getting 200k subs so quickly unless your video goes absolutely bonkers viral and gets shared around by thousands of blogs, vlogs & other socials.
She's quite smart with her videos though, you can tell from the titles she focuses on the finance niche and makes the topics clickbaity, i.e. this is how I earn $110/hour or apartment tours that are popular.

I think that it's marketing agencies that push these and know all the tactics (types of thumbnails, market-researched areas of Zoomer interest, paid promotion etc) that force these channels into popularity. It's like the V-Shred guy Vince. Most fitness channels/youtubers thought he was a joke but were surprised to see how quickly his channel became popular. It turned out Vince was reading scripts for an agency that was writing and promoting these videos, and he basically was just a model/actor for a corporate production to sell stuff. I don't know the intricacies of it, but the basic idea is that Vince did not start the channel himself - he was hired to front a corporate brand with scripts to read for each video and products to sell. It is very possible that this girl is part of that type of production. Look "street-level" but that is just their marketing technique.

Clearly, conservative but notice that she's sponsored by The Daily Wire. (A conservative news outlet)

Yep. I like Shapiro/DW but Brett Cooper and Sydney Watson are like watching paint dry. Absolutely nothing interesting to say that hasn't been said 1,000x already. Definitely sponsored/promoted channels that benefit from a larger company behind them.
