Finished FRIENDS tv show and its actaully pretty good

remember watching this **** when i was like 13-14 with my gf and thinking it was lame af. but now as another 30 yo singlecel i get it. a lot of relatable things albiet exaggerated. but i still never got the ross cucking joey rachel story line in the last season. seems like they just wanted to bring his character down and submitful... early start of clown world.

It’s trash. Every line is a canned laugh track. It’s dumb. People don’t interact like that, it’s so disconcerting and takes you out of the show “BLAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA”

Like ok you think I’m too stupid to know if something is funny? I can’t watch shows with laugh tracks. They all suck.

I always confused when people hate on Friends and Seinfeld..... I never watched them constantly (probably seen half of all reruns). But think it's pretty funny. Especially for the 90s........ but nothing beats Golden Girls or Married w Children in that era

Also, most miscers are Indian and don't understand 90s Sitcoms

I love friends but I think shows like this definitely contributed to sloots thinking they can still get a good guy and the happy ever after post-30.

I think Seinfeld had the best characters. The comedy in Golden Girls was brilliant, just hard to identify with a bunch of old ladies. Married w Children had some rofl moments, but I hated the kid and neighbor guy. That time when they had a heat wave so set up chairs in the supermarket, I think that's probably the 2nd funniest thing I've ever seen on TV.

Yeah but it’s not funny even with or without the laugh track. Without it, the show is stilted and cumbersome, and dumb. Awkward pauses to let the canned stupid fake laughing go through. It’s just chit.

Now look, it’s easy watching. I get that. I can’t fault anyone for liking to watch it.

But I personally have some kind of disorder that makes it impossible for me to enjoy such a show.

i can see why some hate it


but if you compare it to other sitcoms like how i met your mother, big bang theory etc it's the only one that's watchable

It was more of a conversational comedy than a sitcom. I can see how that would get on some people's nerves.

Seinfeld was better in that they went out and did stuff, painting over the highway lines, the can scam etc. That's real comedy to me.
