literally everything in my body is tight (srs)

inb4 some gay joke

but srsly

my neck is tight, upper back tight (especially on the right side), hips are tight, everything.

a couple of questions :

1) I've realised now that going to the gym first thing and exercising is great for my mental health, but everything is so stiff, what can I do?
2) have you ever had real bad tightness in the neck especially? when i put pressure on it like press it (my neck muscles) hard, it's actually sore. all the time. it's so ****ing draining srsly

it would be genuinely life changing to 'fix' this. it started around 4 years ago and it's just got worse

Go get a massage and definitely inquire about a happy ending. I'm sure he will suck you to completion which will help with that stiffy

I have two words for you-

Yo Ga

Gentle slow relaxation style yoga. It looks easy and boring. It is sort of a form of meditation [focusing on breathing and just being in the moment].

And it is painful to varying degrees so know that going in. It hurts when you get into a position that your tight body is fighting.

But if you make adjustments to your current level of flexibility by modifying the pose so that it hurts, but not so bad that you can't endure it, over time you will gain more and more flexibility.

I recommend finding a good instructor if you can who really helps with distracting you some from the "ouch" and also with making modifications.

Or try Yoga With Adrienne on YT.

I'm thinking of trying a fitness yoga app ATM myself to get moving again. I've been parked for too long due to injury, hot weather, and low iron. The heat finally broke, I'm 2 txmts in on the iron...I'm thinking walking and yoga are good place to start.
