Hah, my older brother would show me a lot of them on nick at night. He grew up watching old reruns (he’s 13 years older than me), and I watched them when they played again on cable with him.

Taxi was underrated.
Cheers was not underrated. It deserves every award it got.

Both are gold. A lot of people don’t know that Christopher Lloyd was Jim Ignatowski (Taxi) and also Doc (Emmett) Brown from Back to the Future.

Taxi was great. Spawned a lot of successful careers. Lloyd, Devito, Tony Danza was big for a while. Andy Kauffman is a legend. The whole cast was amazing and I was in love with Elaine's tits.

Lol I wanted to mention Devito, but you added more than I was thinking, and you’re 100% right. There was a huge concentration of talent there. Lately I think of Devito alongside It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and Danson as he appeared in Curb Your Enthusiasm. It was awesome to see them together in Taxi.

Andy deserves a much longer post than I can provide right now. Top tier mind

nobody watched gomer pyle usmc? because i def didn't.

i do remember watching some really old popeye cartoons as a kid.

the only 90s shows that are all over tv now(and i get it, nobody watches tv) are seinfeld, friends and fresh prince to a lesser extent...but it seems like that one has fallen off vis a vis being on tv all the time.

being a young kid in the late 80s when cable for almost everyone was relatively was new, felt like we had a lot of older chit on tv and just by default were exposed to it because those newer channels needed chit to put on tv. i
f i remember right, unless you were balling hard, you didn't get more than like 30 channels in the late 80s/early 90s. someone correct me if i'm wrong there. it was a long time ago.

I watched that one a lot. Solid in terms of writing, even more-so in term of acting. The idea itself (two good people who are divorced and totally different) was new for the time, and well executed.

Used to get TVland on satellite so I watched pretty much all these. Still watching them.

Dailymotion and archive.org are great for classic TV. Youtube is ok till the copyright ****s come along.

Heres a big 1970s tv series list on archive.org.
