Best way to keep a tan now that winter is coming?

My skin is the perfect tone of caramel at the moment from daily 10 mins of tanning in the sun over the summer.

Getting cold real fast up here and tanning outside isn't an option anymore

Was thinking about using a tanning bed at the gym but can't find a single source of information that even remotely suggests that they're a good idea

Scared to use a self tanner because don't want to turn Oompa Loompa orange

Any bros have good suggestions or experiences keeping a tan through winter?

The ultimate solution? Move to a tropical biome. I live in one and it's permanent summer and year round tan.


When I lived in a normal climate, I just accepted that I'd have to be pasty in winter and wait for summer for a nice tan. Don't go to solariums, they're cancer boxes. They're banned in my country now.

Did smearing fecal matter on yourself help you achieve a darker complexion?

I don't really want to know..just figured you might the type for one reason or another..

lol i'm far from pasty white

my dad has some native in him and he turns cherokee brown by the end of april every year. I'm not as dark as him but people assume I tan year round. Just a natural healthy brown. Would prefer to keep it a little darker throughout winter if possible

I do 10 minutes a side 2-3 times a week when the uv is like 6

No sunscreen unless uv is like 8+


Lucky for me our winters are in the 60’s but the uv is low like 4-5 max a few hours

I am very disciplined and know how to not overdo things luckily lol

that's why debating using the tanning bed I was going to go for 3 minutes twice a week but from what I read even that little bit is insanely horrible for you

Speaking for myself, except for January, winter here in Tokyo isn't severe so I usually can jog in shorts (stripped to the waist) so it's relatively easier to maintain a decent tan.

just carotenoidmaxx and try to take a trip in the middle of it

you could increase dose as the sun angle changes and try to do it closer to solar noon up until it's useless
