Do people actually like "authentic" sushi?
I went out for sushi yesterday with my girl and went to a pretty bomb all you can eat place. I straight up loaded up on chicken teriyaki rolls, beef teriyaki skewers, with some dumplings on the side. Finished off my meal with some ice cream for desert. Ate a shyt ton of food and 100% made my money back. I made sure I dropped a third nuke on japan afterward.
The whole time we were eating though, there was a table of four next to us talking about this michelin star sushi restaurant since the michelin star stuff came to Canada recently. The whole time they were hyping up omakasay and other authentic japanese shyt. All they ordered was a bunch of raw fish and just ate it all straight with a bit of soy sauce to dip it in. No rice, no seaweed, no cream cheese or teriyaki sauce. I can't believe people actually prefer a piece of raw fish the chef was too busy to cook to a nice piece of beef teriyaki or a cucumber sushi roll. It legit looked disgusting. I tried beef tataki once and it didn't taste like much of anything but the soy sauce it was sitting in. The texture was super slimy going down too.
I don't really get the hype behind eating cuttlefish nutsack or tigerfish dong just cause it's authentic japanese. Give me that white people shyt for real. Like cheeseburger sushi, hot dog sushi or even pizza sushi with a hot rod in the middle. I bet you anything it tastes 100x better than a slice of bung hole from a fish that no one would eat otherwise and the chef was too lazy to cook.
Tell me how this

My 2 experiences eating raw fish both had me chitting liquid. It's bullchit that it's 'cooked' by the lemon juice or whatever.

I prefer the sushi rolls. Not the straight fish. But that might be because I haven't tried enough of it yet. Would eat regardless.

I like both
Im actually a chef at nobu in Hawaii so I know.
Some is over rated.
I like crazy rolls and new styles of sushi. Or the super traditional oshizushi. The middle Tokyo style is kina blaa for me honestly.

I love sashimi. It’s about the quality of the fish where you don’t need to add all of those extras.

No elite sushicel (not even my top 10 favorite cuisines), But lulz at ordering a slim burrito, or an Mc filet-o-fish rolled into a slim tube, cut in slices, and saying you went out for sushi.
Saying it's just rice and raw fish is like saying a steak is just cow meat with a little bit of fire. Like not understanding why people pay for top-tier steak houses and order medium rare and comparing to a burger king patty...."omg its just a piece of meat, cooked for a few minutes, and it's still even raw"

Sashimi is for Heavenly East Asians only, OP.
You are a Westoid ****get who's used to eating slop filled with sneed oil, corn syrup, GMO, and Jewish foreskin.
Sashimi, being the Celestial offering that is it, was never meant to be enjoyed by golems like you.
Real sashimi is FUCBUC, bro.

How come when it's some japanese dude at a bar he charges you like 300.
Plus the chinese dude actually cooks it because he's a real chef, not a guy who had to spend 23 years learning how to use a knife and cut a piece of fish so thin you leave hungry afterwards

You can go to asian massage place get your dynk rub and ejaculate in 5 mins..... lulz at trying to smash and find a HBB wife.
You can also just get a 90 hondas's civic and it gets you from point a to point b... lulz at spending on a nice car that does the same thing as my bike.
Why not go to the asian dog market and get a stray dog to skewer and bbq his meat instead of raising a waygu cow for years...
Why buy any animal protein at all when i can just ejaculate into a jar to drink later... protein is protein, right?

I make what i call sushi with bbq fried chicken pieces and cole slaw rolled up with the rice in the seaweed.
Taste way better than that raw stuff in my opinion. I will swap out the chicken for pork sometimes depending on whats on hand.
Made cheeseburger sushi which was pretty good too.
Heat the ingredients and let them sit out for about an hour prior to rolling up or it wont work.
