Economics 101 - book suggestions?

Sup brahs, I know fuk all about economics and fancy picking up a book that will provide me with a reasonable understanding of the basics and overall workings of the economy.

Get something with "Macro" and "Introductory" in the title. You want to learn macroeconomics first. A quick way to find a title is to look at a college syllabus online for an introductory macroeconomics class. It will tell you what textbook to purchase. I would send you mine, but it's probably older than you are. Operating systems were D.O.S.

Thread title might be misleading. I’m not actually taking a course in economics or anything, I was using 101 in the slang/colloquial sense.

I worked as a professional economist, don't listen to any of the idiocy that's been posted above. Listen to Jim Glassman and Ray Dalio. They break things down simply and if you're interested in discussing things with pedestrian people, they're a good go to.
