What happened to dating, like, for real?

Seems like today and a few years ago, there's been such a shift in dating that really has more people showcasing their partner but more for clout.

Things like dining, trips, gifts, etc...

It seems like they're trying to broadcast to their friends "look at my guy!" almost as if in to rub it in.

Meanwhile, guys think "Oh great, this woman's into me" when she's really just into clout, money, maybe dink.

Can we blame social media?

It's been this way since the dawn of relationships. It's always been about clout, women want men they can show off.

I agree. It has definitely gotten worse though.

Women are extremely jealous, catty and envious of other women. They want to flex on their friends/associates.

If you are just starting to date her don't take her anywhere expensive. I'd also probably say lets leave our phones in the car so we can focus on a good time without distractions. Especially for the first date or two.

If a girl won't leave her phone in her car for an hour or two when with you she's not worth dating long term.
