Why is conventional deadlift or sumo allowed in the same meet?
They're both two different lifts.
Brb allowing people to leg press in a deadlift competition next

The vast majority of conventional deadlifters seem to be equally or less strong at sumo. Sumo is an option for chitty deadlifters to still have skin in the game. Just like some people are stronger at benching with a medium arch and some use a huge arch to lower ROM.

I could see how sumo ultimately has a higher mechanical advantage but you're not getting there training only sumo.
I just think you're an idiot if you don't choose what you're best at for competition. I mean, that's really all that needs to be said. How tf can you even begin to criticize the simple act of lifting weight to your balls.
