How does social security pay for disabled people?

I get it with old people since they are getting back what they put in.

But where is the money coming from for disabled people?

Explain like I'm 5.

It doesn't come from Social Security, it comes from state Medicaid.

You have to prove your disability and surrender your assets if you have any basically.

There is. Fed ss disability ,you have to have paid into it to get

Basically if you need to retire early because of a disability ,you get your ss early ,but yiu get more and aren't taxed

Trust me, I went to a lawyer last week ,my back is shot and at 56 I can't make it to 62 in construction

Once ,and if you get approved ,you get Medicare in 6 months

You'll get denied the first time, they wana see if you're going to go away

Then you appeal

Now ,there is also ssi disability ,which is thru the state ,this is a less amount

And you have to have less than. 2k in assets

I would assume a person that's fkd from an early age gets ssd that working people pay into

^^^ this is probably correct. I worked in the skilled nursing industry for a period of time. There were people that got SS. I thought it was because they were old, but it may have been from their disability. Medicaid paid for their stay, their SS went into an account that the nursing home took except $30 every month because they had surrendered their assets to get on Medicaid.

^^^ Social security is like a ponzi scheme. The new money pays out the old. The actual fund is waaaaay short of being able to cover the people that are/will eventually be eligible. So the money you or I put in is actually paying for the boomers and people like Wasp. When we get old you are hoping the plan is still in effect, and the millenials children will pay your way, lolololol.

Everyone that has worked has a ssa account

Go on ssa and enter your info

It will te you what you get at what age and if disabled

I have no idea how the state systemworks

I would assume the fed system is all calculated based o. What you have paid in

Put it this way

The fed system you would get say 2k

The state system you get say 700

But you'd be on all sorts of other help

The state is for people fkd from. The get go

The fed is for people that have worked their whole life and can no longer and have to retire early

Or have had a car accident etc

The state gets money from the feds

It gets distributed to various programs

And there is state tax etc

It's collected from a sh load of.places

Crazy that there isn't any outrage over this.
