God I love living in Eastern Europe

I escaped America because it's an overpriced hellhole full of crime and strip malls.

Benefits

I pay $300 for rent

HBBs everywhere and low obesity rate

Every girl wants to practice her English

Good public transport, no need to own a car

Cheap healthcare, I paid $50 for an ambulance ride when I had a medical issue

I pay $40 total for a day trip to go snowboarding in the mountains

Banging nightlife, clubs stay open til 5am

Endless job opportunities to work as an English teacher

Beautiful architecture unlike the American landscape of highways and strip malls

No crime, don't have to worry about being mugged or shot when I step outside

Lots of kebab

OP is definitely on teh right track (outside of teaching being an ESL teacher)

Even when we recently went to the nicer parts of Italy, I was amazed by how much things were. One small example.....ice cream from a boutique in the states can easily by $7 for a few scoops. Its 1.5 euros in a swanky part city in Italy. I was amazed how cheap things were especially with the euro weakening these days.....
