My kids haven't let my ex-wife date anyone in 10 years post divorce.

They had an extremely negative reaction after seeing the impact on one of her divorced friends kids who started dating.

It won't be until adolescence where kids come up to their own conclusions. If it's a daughter then they will be on the same path. A son could go either way, I will never be in that situation so I don't know to what extent it affects how you feel about her. It is your mom after all. Surprisingly a lot of these kids seem to be okay with it. The 50 yr old is his mom lol.

Do not think that what is hard for you to master is humanly impossible; and if it is humanly possible, consider it to be within your reach.

Gen X here.

Was at a party at a guy's house I'd know for some time. He had friends there I didn't really know.

Anyway...one of the guys there got introduced to his wife, and swore he knew here from somewhere. They talked and didn't grow up anywhere near one another, different colleges, etc.
