**SPOILERS** Halloween Ends
Just watched Halloween Ends last night with a group of friends. It was bizarre and I left the theater with a WTF feeling.
My issues:
Spoiler!
Ultimately it felt like a completely different movie. Maybe as a standalone it would have been effective, but as a Halloween movie I'm just confused.
My issues:
Spoiler!
I have no idea why they introduced Corey. He was the main character in this movie. They are trying to tie up a trilogy and they decide to introduce a completely new story arch.
Michael killed 1 person, the sloot who knee padded her way to the top at the doctor's office. Michael was an afterthought in a movie that was supposed to tie up his and Laurie's legacy.
Lyndsey and Hawkins, great legacy characters, were absolutely under utilized.
Other than the Halloween party early on, you wouldn't have known this movie takes place around Halloween. Zero Halloween vibe
I'm shocked that a 44 year legacy didn't really focus on the trying to tie that legacy up until the last 15 minutes.
Clearly Michael was killed, but then they tie his body on a car and parade it through Haddonfield and ultimately throw the body in a compacter. It was ridiculous to see Laurie and Allyson driving in a car with Michael's body tied to the top of it.
