Parents sold home. Feel depressed af

Parents sold out home due to financial problems and we should be moving out to never ever come back here ever again.

I honestly don't think I will have the same attachment to any other place like my childhood home. Now I will have to live in a 3rd rate rented chithole with a crappy view and human trash neighbors.

It is even more annoying that parents are cope thinking it isn't something bad. Only good side is that I won't be with them and be constantly influenced for my every decision.

For anyone thinking why is an oldcel like me living with parents - I had to financially take care of them since they went broke a few years ago which put me in a situation where being a rentcel/ morthagecel was almost impossible.


So yeah, I'm about to cry like a beta ****gggot for losing my childhood home. Haven't felt so sad ever. Feels bad man srs

Imagine growing up in a fantastic neighborhood.

Imagine decades later wanting to buy that house.

Imagine the house recently sold for 8 figures.



Trying to hold onto or recapture that side of youth is hard af, especially if you grew up in a nice part of town.

Sorry OP.I was in my late 30's I think when my mom sold our childhood home and it was really sad. Going to her house now is just not the same.

My daughter was attached like that to our home in MI. And I get it because it was a nice little house in a very good location.

But stuff happens.

Sounds like you are going to be living on your own OP. Maybe focus on that freedom.

Atleast you got to grow up in a house, brb living in chitty apartments whole time growing up.

I often would daydream about growing up in a house, the backyard, the front door, sneaking off onto the roof, or sneaking out in general through a window, the feel of privacy, the nice feeling of walking up and down stairs, justing having property and not be stacked up with a bunch of poorcels. Growing up in apartments was complete ass.

Even worse growing up with friendly with houses and wondering why you don’t get those feels.

Parents sold ours, too. It sucks. I vow to rot in this home so my kids will never have to suffer like I did. They will always have this house they grew up in to come back to. One day they will own it.
