Gen Z in a Nutshell



I regularly sit on interview panels, and the hilarious thing to me is how 'demanding' Gen Z are.

1. Walk into an interview and demand X and Y 'cuz I went to NYU [insert college]';
2. Fail to realize that the folks on your interview panel havefarhigher qualifications than you, and that name dropping a college (already laughable) is not that impressive;
3. Run crying that you're a permanent rentcel "cuz inflation", how you hate 'boomers' (without realizing the person who discarded your arrogant application is Gen X).
4. Profit?

Usually I think people should be free and vehemently oppose anyone who believes in laws that restrict that freedom, but then I see videos like these and I think...maybe the regressive left is correct. Maybe people do need to be controlled in most aspects of their lives.

Back when it was all the rave to complain about "participation trophies" it's the kids that would take all the flack, but I find it hard to believe that 12 year old Timmy had the authority to enforce such a rule in a school district. It was undoubtedly Timmy's (at the time) boomer parents going to PTA meetings and complaining Timmy didn't get a 5th place trophy.

That sounds like a myth to me. Do you actually imagine a parent of a high schooler going to the high school to demand that their sprinter son who finished 9th place out of 10 "deserves a medal", too? It beggars belief. And from what I saw it isn't that 10 sprinters won medals, it has been (partly) the attempt by women in the education system to suppress testosterone entirely, by phrasing classic intra-male competitions as "toxic".

That's a separate issue though - not an explanatory one for Gen Z. And the above affects mostly the children who never had fathers, or had absentee fathers, so yeah - it'd be incomplete as an explanation, and furthermore cannot explain the drastic problems that Gen Z face across the board.
