The problem with Atheists and the Religious

Is that neither side are objectively trying to find the true nature of this creation. One side, the atheists, don't bother doing any investigative research or science into god or the immaterial and the other side, the religious, do not do any investigative research or science into this creation and its creator.

We are finally at the stage where Universities like the University of Virginia medical school are actively investigating out of body experiences while people are clinically brain dead etc, which is the first time we are actually looking into an immaterial reality where consciousness is not limited to the brain.

Neither side, either the atheists or the religious are impartially looking into the truth. Both are equally brainwashed. I think the elites have set things up this way so no one can know the truth of why we are here.

Most people are too braindead to even be curious about spiritual matters. Atheism and religion are both paths of least resistence.

I tend to agree. Atheists are the most arrogant people by default. They claim they know definitely that there is nothing out there... I've noticed a lot of religious are kinda sheep like. Just following the hoard with no spiritual connection to the religion they claim to follow.

I've heard that religion is studying the spiritual experience of the people in the bible or whatever religion you are following. You are studying Jesus' spiritual experience or Abraham's spiritual experience and so on... Where as spirituality is your own spiritual experience and self growth. That makes sense to me. Religion and spirituality is not the same.

I Think psychedelic spiritual experiences should be researched more. I was a self proclaimed atheist until I took a ridiculously massive dose of mushrooms. And another experience combining a strong dose of lsd with a strong dose of mushrooms. The trip I combined lsd with mushrooms I had an out of body experience where I met and talked to god himself. I could see him and speak to and interact with him. I could feel his presence. I bowed and repented all of my dark secrets. I sobered up and felt a huge weight off my shoulders.... I know there are people who say, it's just the drugs. But if feels so real at the time. So real that it has lasting changes in perspective and viewpoints. It completely shattered my atheist viewpoint. I'm not religious but I certainly think there is more out there. It humbled me.

Massively agree on researching psychedelics.

Both atheists and many religious are against researching psychedelics, the atheists would maintain that it's just different chemical signals in your brain and Christians would say it's Satanic delusion. Which proves the point of why we need impartiality outside of atheism and religious systems which are both dogmatic.

Why does there need to be a "why"? Seems a bit grandiose to think we have a purpose and reason for being while everything else that's been inhabiting earth for the past 4 billion or so years is just scenery.

I'm agnostic, but generally argue as an atheist. I'd love for there to be a God or spiritual purpose to everything, I just can't see it.

This is a prime example of dogmatic thinking.

The idea of investigation is automatically written off due to dogmatic atheistic belief systems.

To be scientific is to be impartial, so that necessitates investigation outside of preconceived notions or dogmatism. So we have to investigate whether this place is created or not.

We've operated under that assumption for most of humanity. We're operating under it right now. It'd be cool if we were specially placed on this planet created just for us, I just think the idea is damaging leads to some bad outcomes (most of the industrial evils, ie-pollution, factory farming, consumerism, etc.). If we reigned ourselves in and saw ourselves as a part of a larger whole, maybe we'd be better off.

We're arguing on different wavelengths, my fault.
