Halloween Ends ...

I haven't seen it. I have seen a bunch of reviews stating that the movie is garbage, that Michael is in it for approximately 10min etc ...

Any insides to this for those who have seen it?

I love Halloween. It has probably been my favorite slasher ,,, I've seen all of them inc. the 2018 and 2021 versions.

This is my setup for the upcoming Halloween ends however, the reviews have really pulled me away from it ... unsure how to take it. I don't normally rely on reviews to watch a movie etc but this one, because it has been so advertised etc its making me think twice lol

i will not watch it due to what i read/heard about it

the original Halloween films were a large part of my childhood and i won't taint it

I watched it with my GF. Honestly it wasn't terrible for being a too-long continued sequel to a 40-year story.

Nothing great, nothing terrible. Felt a little 80s at times, and I liked that.

It was a train wreck

Most of the new Halloween movies are a train wreck though so it was no worse than any of the other new stuff. Michael Myers is not in it very much though, that part is true.

Halloween 1, 2, and H20 are the only actually good movies in my opinion. I think 4-6 were watchable. Everything else after is really bad and this fits in line with the rest of them. It was basically as I expected because it's obvious no one is really trying to make them good at this point. Maybe one day someone will revamp it and try to actually make it good, that's why I continue checking them out when one is released.

My gf loves the series and so I watched.

I dislike slasher movies as I thnk they are perverted but will watch for her.

Sadly, it's not even a slasher movie.

They try to make it about something but the writers are poor and so it's just slow convos.

Mike appears to be magical in this as he touches people and downloads their memories, or so it seems. There's no discussion so you must guess.

Mike is so strong that he can lift adults up with one arm, but can get destroyed by an old lady, because she's a main character lol.

There's the implication that he can download his mind into others.

I am giving away nothing because nothing is explained AT ALL.

So, it's boring with a plot hole ending that is dumb.

My guess is that there will be another movie where Mike has downloaded himself into another person and that's how it keeps going.

It was basically a Christine remake. It's a good movie that should've had a different name and just dropped Myers from it. This should have been "Halloween Returns," and "Halloween Ends" actually should've been a final battle between Laurie and Michael. This could've been the movie post-Michael that shows how evil changed shape or whatever.
Instead they forced JLC into the plot so they could use her for the marketing.
