Breaking and enetering into a house they are contractally allowed to be in that someone changed the locks on illegally? The landlord has to go through the court system, may take months. Unfortunatley the eviction horror stories of 3-6 months from hell are true.

Credit check, references from previous landlords, call their employer, etc
