Is 8 inches too low of a platform to hip thrust on?

I have a home gym and a bench that's around 20 inches tall. I tried hip thrusting with the bench as support and it felt way too tall. I've been searching on Amazon and basically literally every bench is around 20 inches tall so I'm thinking of getting an aerobic step up platform. With risers it'd be 8 inches in height. Is that too short though? Do you guys hip thrust? What height platform do you use?
