No longer enjoy working out and feel anxious going to the gym (srs)
Man I don't know what to do anymore, for the past 2 months I've only been going to the gym once a week yet everytime I end up leaving after 1-2 sets as I can't get into it anymore.
I was doing well on my cut and hit 13ish% bf, was so close to being primed for a clean bulk then blew it all like a retard and now I'm slowly losing muscle and have gained around 5lbs of fat due to my inconsistency.
Because of this I wear baggy hoodies and joggers, I'm
too embarrassed to even show myself in a t shirt (srs) yet I still feel anxious/paranoid for some reason especially with how packed the gym is getting nowadays no matter what time I go.
That being said I don't enjoy rotting and eating like chit either, currently look like a skinny fat bag of beans and feel bad about myself.

If you don't like how you look then get in the gym and get over the anxiety. Force yourself if you have to then after after couple of weeks it'll be habit

You need to give that proverbial boulder that initial hard push to get it to tumble down that hill, brah. Honestly, the best thing for yourself to do would be to go to the gym today wearing a tanktop and exposing yourself to whatever perceptions your brain is creating. It'll get better the more you do it. The more you avoid, the deeper you dig yourself into that hole.

Find a form of exercise you enjoy op, doesn't have to be lifting, could be mma, boxing, climbing etc.
โSteroids is now just a word that the lazy and ignorant use to describe any guy that has more muscle and dedication than themโโ Mike O'Hearn
"I am like getting the feeling of cumming in the gym; I'm getting the feeling of cumming at home; I'm getting the feeling of cumming backstage; when I pump up, when I pose out in front of 5000 people I get the same feeling, so I am cumming day and night. It's terrific, right? So you know, I am in heaven."

That's life.
You will conquer something, and think you've used it up as far as your interest is going to take you.
It takes a REAL passion to pursue something into old age.
I have real respect for the oldcels still conquering some form of athletic pursuit. There's a just a natural driver that won't go away.

It's hard if you're not feeling it. There are plenty of us around here that have been lifting for years and trust me it's not always fun. If I were you I would take it slow. Hit the gym and choose 2 compounds to work on. Focus on your form, getting back in the groove and hit them as hard as you can. It won't be a long workout but it doesn't have to be...the important thing is you got it done.
Good luck.
Good luck.

Kinda the same. I want to change gyms. I go to a highly rated warehouse gym and has tons of equipment but it brings in the gym bros/influencers.
Lots of people working out without shirts on, tripods and cameras everywhere. I loved the gym around 2010-2013ish. Seemed way different then but I'm almost 30 so maybe I'm just getting old lol.

Sounds to me like you need to quit being a p00sy and go lift weights.
I'm 35. Gym I go to has a ton of teenagers (Its located right by 2 high schools) but also quite a few brahs my age and older as well. Its a lot more tolerable when you are surrounded by dudes your own age.
And/or when there are guys that basically look like IFBB pro's lifting.

Change gyms or workout earlier in the day.
Don't really feel awkward when gym is packed, but super annoying to constantly see people hogging all the machines and if they aren't people coming up to you and asking how many sets you have left.
If you aren't suffering from injury or yoy aren't sick, you should never take a break from the gym, and If yoy do gl coming back. Looking at your old photos and struggling with ur warmup will **** u up and its difficult to get over it.

just get back in there as if you are a newbie again looking to make some gains, with a renewed mindset and try something different.
if you concentrate on the past it'll just make you depressed.
start a new, fresh program. focus on trying to do better and lifting more than the last time with good form. the moment you stall, try out something new so you can keep the progression train going. you become more addicted to the process and progression rather than lifting in and of itself. Lifting is boring af, I think that's the key. Seeing yourself getting stronger, maybe getting a nice pump, etc. Hopefully the bodily changes come with it to.
Focus on a strength goal/objective and work towards it. I.e: I want to bench 275.
