So many ways of making money...surely it can't be that hard?!?!?

If I could make 3k per month through various avenues, I'd leave my 9-5 in a heartbeat!

It was ALLOT easier in the early days of social media before everyone tried to hop on the self employed wagon.

This.

My rent would be close to 66% of my income if I only made $3k/mo lol. Yikes.

It feels like the only way is to investmaxx (during a good economy) and landlord max (meaning going into chit loads of debt or waiting many years to be able to have more than one house/condo).

It's actually not that hard in today's gig economy. I have my main business where I make $80-90 an hour, so making 3k a month is a joke but my expenses are fairly big. My second business I only make about $30-40 an hour but it's done in my spare time online. So even my side gig if I worked 25 hours a week I'd make 3k a month.

My advice would be find something you can do online part time and build it up as a decent side income, then make the jump once you're established.

Small entry level sub trade biz.

Landscaping even just lawns

Window/Gutter Clean/Roof De-mossing

Garbage Removal

Addition to any of these would be putting up Christmas/Halloween decorations + last minute moves ear end of the month.

Do you have a truck? If you do just buy a trailer and do junk removal. You can easily make a couple hundred dollars a day. Let's say you work 20 days a month and make about $400 a day doing junk removal jobs. That's 8k. Factor in gas, landfill fees and other expenses you're probably netting 6-7k. You can even do $200 a day and make 4k a month since you want to lowball it.

Seriously. Half the time it is just picking up couches, getting rid of stuff from people moving out, etc. There are guys on YouTube making 1k a day doing it. You can even scale it and keep buying trucks and even increase services.

I might honestly do that come spring time if worse comes to worse. Corporate world is soul sucking.

right now a US treasury bond is like 4.5%
if you had 900k cash, you could earn about 3.4k USD a month completely risk free (or 3k pounds like you asked).

Just save 900k OP.

Learn a skill.

Graphic design, copywriting, SEO etc. And then freelance online.
A young bull and an old bull were standing atop a hill looking at a bunch of heifers in a field below.

The young bull says "Let's run down this hill and fuk one of those heifers."

The old bull replies "No. Let's walk down there, and fuk them all."

Literally just write something. You need a cover which you can either learn to make yourself or Amazon even has a generator (it sucks, but it's free) - I actually have a cover designer because for fiction you need decent covers. You also need a blurb that describes the book and will entice people to buy it. I use a free program called Calibre to format my manuscripts from Word into a friendly type of file for publishing.

I mean I look back at my early stuff and cringe now, but if you really want to publish something it's super easy. Selling it and getting people to buy it is something entirely different.

3k pounds (or 3400 USD), is like 170 USD a day (assuming a 5 day work week), or 22 dollars an hour.

you can easily make that doing doordash or uber

dogwalking as well in some areas
