Is separation of church and state dead? Extremist leftist / moral shift

We've let extremists have free reign and control for years now, in hopes of satisfying and making EVERYONE happy, but is such a thing even possible in society? Extremists on either side (not making this political) will never be satisfied, and when you give them an inch, take a mile, and will never be satisfied.

Ironically:
The whole point of accepting everyone, letting people think and identify as whatever (which I inherently have no problem with.../ Don't care personally), is that if it makes everyone happy, if it's not hurting anyone.

The problem is.... For critical thinkers looking at the big picture, essentially because we've been silent, their choice, 100% affects our beliefs and personal life now. (Ex the dozens of crazy curriculum taught in school now from elementary to University. Youre cut off if you don't comply, or will make you stay incredibly uncomfortable and ostracized. ) Wasn't the whole point of this to make everyone personally happy and inclusive? That's non existent for conservatives now, and borderline feels like the same manner and spirit of racism, based purely on beliefs and things we have no control of.

So high IQ miscers connect the dots to get my point without me making this post any longer..... So this begs the question, is it possible now?

Secularism is good, we don't want to live in a theocractic sh*thole.

But like you point out, the west is living in the other extreme now.

Anyway religion is important but good luck promoting and converting people these days.

Nietzsche saw this problem 100 years ago already, he knew religion and all societal benefits coming from that would fade away because of technological/scientific progress. His solution, the uber mensch...sadly humans are inherently flawed and that won't work so what is the solution OP?

Not that this directly addresses specific points brought up here, but I will say one thing that I think is one of the biggest misconceptions when it comes to this general issue.

Separation of CHURCH and State is NOT, again I repeat is NOT the same as separation of RELIGION and State.

Separation of CHURCH and State is basically guaranteed in the Constitution. Separation of RELIGION and State is ***not at all*** guaranteed in the Constitution. There's a gigantic difference between the two. I can't tell anybody else how to vote or how not to vote, based on their religion, nor can anybody else tell me how to vote or not to vote based on MY religion.

Most people dont even know the history of the Separation of church and state.

It was a push by Baptist preachers to prevent the governments influence on the church....not the other way around.
